POKET FTP — PRIVACY POLICY

Poket FTP ("the app") is developed and published by MD TAYOBUR RAHMAN ("we", "us", the "developer"). This policy explains what the app does with information on your device, what leaves your device, and who else is involved. Questions or requests: [email protected].

1. THE SHORT VERSION

Poket FTP is a file transfer client. It connects your device directly to FTP, FTPS and SFTP servers that you configure. We do not run those servers, we do not proxy your traffic, and we never receive your files, hostnames, usernames or passwords. The only third parties that receive data are Google AdMob (ads on the free tier) and Google Play Billing (purchases), each in their own right.

2. INFORMATION YOU ENTER

To save a connection you enter a host name, port, protocol, username and optionally a password, an SSH private key and an initial path. All of it is stored only on your device:

• Connection details are held in a private app database.
• Passwords and key passphrases are held in encrypted preferences, protected by a key generated in the Android Keystore, in a private app directory.
• SSH host key fingerprints are recorded the first time you connect so a later change can be detected and reported to you.

This information is transmitted only to the server you chose to connect to, as part of that connection. It is never sent to the developer.

3. YOUR FILES

Files you browse, upload, download, edit, move, copy or delete are exchanged directly between your device and your server. Downloads are written to the public Downloads/PoketFTP folder on your device (or, where the system does not permit that, to the app's own storage). Uploads are read from the file you pick. The developer has no access to any of it, and no copy is sent anywhere else.

4. INFORMATION COLLECTED AUTOMATICALLY

The developer does not operate analytics, tracking or crash-reporting services in this app and does not maintain user accounts. The only automatic collection is the one carried out by the advertising SDK described immediately below.

Advertising (free tier only). The app shows ads supplied by Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process device and usage information such as the advertising identifier, IP address, device model, operating system version, coarse location derived from IP, ad interaction events, and diagnostic data about the SDK's own performance and errors. This processing is carried out by Google as an independent controller under its own terms. You can reset or delete the advertising identifier at any time in Android Settings, under Privacy > Ads. Purchases. Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled entirely by Google Play Billing. Google processes your payment and tells the app only whether a purchase is active. The developer never sees your card number, billing address or Google account.

App configuration. The app may request pricing and configuration values, and this policy document, from the developer's service. Those requests carry no identifier of you beyond the network metadata (such as your IP address) inherent in any HTTPS request.

5. PERMISSIONS AND WHY THEY ARE USED

• Internet and network state — to reach the servers you configure and to know when the device is offline or off Wi-Fi.
• Foreground service (data sync) — to keep uploads and downloads running with a visible notification when the app is in the background.
• Notifications — to show transfer progress and results. You can refuse this; transfers still run.
• Storage (Android 10 and below only) — to write downloads to the public Downloads folder. If you refuse, downloads are saved to the app's own folder instead.

The app does not request contacts, camera, microphone, precise location or phone identity.

6. ADVERTISING CHOICES

You can reset or delete your advertising identifier, and limit ad personalisation, in your device settings under Privacy or Google. Where required by law, the ads SDK will ask for your consent before personalised ads are shown. Buying Poket FTP Pro removes all advertising from the app.

7. DATA SHARING

The developer does not sell, rent or share personal information. Data reaches only: (a) the FTP/FTPS/SFTP servers you enter yourself, (b) Google AdMob for advertising on the free tier, and (c) Google Play for purchases.

8. RETENTION AND DELETION

Everything the app stores is on your device and lasts until you remove it. You can delete an individual server (its saved password is deleted with it), clear the app's data from Android Settings, or uninstall the app, which removes the database and the encrypted credentials. Files already downloaded to your Downloads folder are yours and are not removed by uninstalling. For requests about data held by Google, use the controls in your Google account. You may write to [email protected] with any deletion request.

9. SECURITY

Credentials are encrypted at rest with a device-bound Keystore key. SFTP connections verify the server's host key and warn you if a known fingerprint changes. FTPS connections are TLS-protected. Plain FTP is, by the design of the protocol itself, unencrypted: anyone on the network path can read the credentials and data. Use FTPS or SFTP whenever your server supports it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and you remain responsible for the security of your device and your servers.

10. CHILDREN

Poket FTP is a developer tool and is not directed to children. It is not intended for use by anyone under 13 (or under the age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and it will be removed.

11. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Because the developer does not hold your personal data, most of these rights are exercised directly on your device or with Google. For anything else, write to [email protected] and we will respond within a reasonable period.

12. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS

Google may process advertising and billing data in countries other than your own, under the safeguards described in Google's own policies.

13. CHANGES

This policy may change as the app changes. The current version is always available inside the app under Settings and at the published policy URL, with the date at the top updated. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
